Most Memorable Feature: Freya's most memorable feature is something that she shares with her own mother. That is her bright red, crazy curly hair that definitely stands out in a crowed. Which to Freya is slightly unfortunate as she would much rather be in the background than standing out.
Freya is on the shorter side which has always slightly annoyed her and made certain tasks difficult, such as reaching the pastries that some one has hidden on the top shelf. Her small build doesn't make her much of a threat to most people. Often times she is describes as a "pretty girl" by others, and is not to fond of being known for only her looks. Bright red hair, pale skin, poutty lips...she definitely has the looks to find her a handsome prince when the day comes though. Freya likes to dress respectable and she does have somewhat good fashion sense. Though she is not one for overly bright colors or crazy patterns.

PERSONALITY
Freya's mother pushed her to be out there, encouraged training with weapons (especially the bow and arrow) and always encouraged curiosity and adventure. Sometimes it felt as if her mother only wanted a miniature verson of herself. Freya knew that it was not on purpose but she sometimes found it hard to be her own person.
In reality she was nothing like her mother and they often times would butt heads. Her mother would tell her that she didn't need to be a princess that got married and had to act all lady like all the time. Freya was in no rush to meet someone romantically but she also didn't think it sounded like it was all that bad either. Her mother would make marriage sound like a jail cell until Freya kindly reminded her that she had eventually got married herself.
Graced with intellect, Freya loved to learn new things and expand her knowledge. Often times curling up with a good book under a tree instead of being out hunting with her parents or causing mischief with her siblings. Her biggest hobby was painting, creating her own paints from flowers and other plants, staying out for hours trying to capture the beauty of the forests or the sunsets.
Freya was always a well behaved child and continued to be that way growing up. On the quieter side she tends to stick to herself and enjoys the company of only a few people at a time. Large crowds are not her thing. She can be a bit timid and easily manipulated by those that get close to her. Yet she is one of the kindest people you will meet with a heart of gold. That being said this red head is very witty, quick thinking, and full of sass when she wants to be.
HISTORY
Merida didn't get married until she was in her her twenties when she met a warrior by the name of Alasdair. Her biggest nightmare was to feel like she would be locked in a cage, which is why she waited as long as she could to get married. Many suitors came but none won her heart until Alasdair came a long. He was strong, skilled in fighting and brave. Most importantly he never tried to control her or feel like her only role was to be a lady. In fact to Merida's mothers dismay he encouraged her adventurous side. They were eventually married and settled into their roles as Queen and King of DunBroch. Merida struggled with being a proper Queen, she did try but never really 100% succeeded. As she got older though she realized how important her role was and grew into a mature lady. Though that adventurous side never left her.
Eventually Alasdair and Merida would go on to have two children, Freya being the 2nd child. Growing up Freya always knew she was well loved but her and her mother didn't always get along. Merida wanted her daughter to be brave and adventurous and go out into the world. Though she desired to be brave like her mother she found herself more scared than anything to go out into the world and so she dived head deep into her studies. Despite being more book smart her mother insisted that she learn how to protect herself and so she was taught how to shoot a bow and arrow. Like her mother she was quite skilled at it but it was not something that she overly enjoyed, nor did she hate it. Rarely did she ever pick up the bow and shoot unless she was angry or frustrated for some reason and would take it out on the poor targets.
At the age of 13 she was sent off to Silver Springs Academy. At first Merida had protested letting her daughter go after taking a look at the proposed classes, no daughter of hers would be a damsel in distress. Even if Freya also felt indifferent about the classes she still longed to go, and after much convincing her mother gave in. Not much has changed in the last 7 years since coming to the Academy. Freya does well in her classes and fits well into what most people think a princess should be. There is a part of her that longs for adventure but she just isn't that Brave. Yet.
SAMPLE
Pulling the string of the bow all the way back and rising it to her cheek, Freya let out a deep breath before releasing the strong. Sending the arrow spiraling forward. With a grin she dropped the bow to her side. The bow had hit its mark perfectly. The target would have never know what had hit it, you know if targets were alive. It was rare that she ever missed as she had been forced to practice for what seemed like hours every day when she had been growing up. Her mother insisted that a young lady such as herself shouldn't just sit around waiting for a man to protect her. Sure it was nice to be able to count on yourself but she also didn't see the big problem with letting someone else rescue you. Freya and her mother definitely had different opinions when it came to men and romance.
The girl was young an yet still old enough to get married. There had been suitors that came a calling but she had yet to find someone who had sparked her interest. Thankfully her parents never pushed her or forced someone on her. She was free to make her own choices when she felt that she was ready to. Freya was not treated like most princesses out there that was for sure. If she were being honest she had no idea what kind of prince would spark her interest she was all too new at this. Deep down she knew that it would need to be someone who didn't make life boring but kept her on her toes and encouraged her to be more out there. Maybe she desired to be more like her mother then she realized.
Taking a black satin ribbon from her pocket she tied her crazy red hair up in a high pony tail, a stray piece falling onto her face. She blew it out only for it to land right back where it had started, giving up and just tucking it behind her ear. Placing her bow on the ground she took a seat on a nearby stump, closing her eyes she leaned back and soaked up the warm sun beating down.
